The Kraken

This is a mockup of a little illustrated booklet. It is a concertina fold-style single illustration in the style (i.e. directly copied from) James Jean's "Rift".

The words are from Alfred Lord Tennyson's poem "The Kraken". The illustration is my own, inspired by the poem.

The project came about when Brisbane/Hobart artist Grointhief bought me James Jean's Rift and we drooled copiously over it one dreamy spring.
